Wow! Yes, incredibly wow. On the bench this week amongst some other great microlots was one coffee that really stood out. The La Esperenze Las Margaritas Estate Geisha ($90/kg green!) jumped out from the crowd. I don’t remember tasting such a magnificent coffee – a real fruit bomb with an array of sweet floral and jasmine flavours. Complex yet wonderfully balanced. One of those gustatory experiences that can’t be restricted by hackneyed tasting note descriptions…
