Goodbye Z. It’s not you, it’s us.

We are looking to the future, come.

You’re going to see some pretty big changes in the coming weeks for Zest Specialty Coffee Roasters.

If you’ve been with us for a while you will have noticed the Zest story growing quietly and steadily the past few years.

We always planned to grow, but it took a while for us to know how to best present ourselves while still giving ourselves room to grow more.

Given this evolution of our business, we decided it was time the look and feel of our brand caught up with the progress of the rest of our space.

Great idea, right?

Well ideas take time and hard work to execute, and we have been toiling around the rebrand behind the scenes for almost a year. The exciting news is we are finally ready.

Over the coming months, with a view to being completed by April 1, 2019, Zest’s entire brand platform––including products, packaging, collateral will have a new skin.

We will be saying goodbye to the old Z, and hello to a new Zest Specialty Coffee Roasters. (And a new zest for Zest!)

However, nothing has changed from within.

Our coffee will still be the same, our ethos, our values and our service will be the same exceptional quality you’re used to––in fact, if anything it will improve.

Briefly, why the change?

The Zest new look is for a few purposes. But mainly because the rate of our growth and the evolution of our company has outgrown our original design brief which, while fitting when we first began roasting coffee some (10!) years ago, now really doesn’t represent even the half of who we are as a company, a team, a culture.

Basically, we needed something to take us into the future which is where our sights have been for a long time now.

A rebrand is a chance for our aesthetic to catch up with our mission —An evolving, progressive family business that values the entire coffee community and has its sights set on the future.

So in the coming days you’ll see the last of our blue bags, the last of our stand alone Z and the last of our micro-lot infographics.

But don’t let that worry you. The pillars of our company that the Z stand proudly on are still strong and they will be represented very well in our new skin. Which has been designed with careful consideration for everything we are.

We’re really proud of what we’ve created for the next phase of our humble, innovative and inclusive coffee roastery. It might just blow you away ––in a comfortable way.

Keep your eyes peeled for the unveil in the coming days, and in the meantime let’s send our old Z off in style.
