This beautiful micro-lot has been produced in one of the many woredas in the southern Sidamo zone called Karamo, Bensa, specifically from a small town called Daye.
Coffee is supplied to the local processing facility by as many as 375 local growers and consists of local heirloom varieties. Tamesgan Abera acts as the local contact person/ producer to ensure coffee supply meets strict quality standards. Coffee in the region is hand-picked and organic by nature, growing in the natural surroundings of these smallholder farmers.
Coffee from such high altitudes is often small in bean size due to the extremely high elevation, this prolongs fruit maturation, a typical low-yielding harvest and produces exceptional flavour development. Variety + terroir + unique and expert processing = a truly amazing sensory experience!
