Kenya Muchoki Peaberry

This lot is the selection of approximately 50 Sydney barista’s in Zest very first Barista’s Choice Event.

On the 24th of August 2023, Zest partnered with Condesa to share the green buying process with the barista’s of Sydney. From a table full of wonderful Kenyan coffees from Condesa, Muchoki Peaberry was selected as the favourite. All the while, Condesa enlightened the guests about how purchasing of green coffee works in Kenya.

This lot is made up of the Peaberry of four different varietals: SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian. While a normal coffee cherry produces two beans, a peaberry is a natural mutation where only one bean develops.
